More transport – fewer emissions: how optimized capacity drives both profit and climate impact
Transport and logistics account for nearly a quarter of total global greenhouse gas emissions - yet they often represent a surprisingly small share of total operational costs. As a result, logistics is frequently overlooked in both business development and climate strategies. But beneath the surface lies untapped potential - where additional transports in an optimized system doesn’t mean additional cost and additional emissions - rather the opposite.
In this session, Logivity - a Volvo Group spin-off - explores how smarter planning, shared data, and optimized capacity can unlock measurable gains - in both cost and carbon. By connecting systems, actors, and flows via an open digital platform, companies can reveal hidden inefficiencies, get transparency, and make better decisions based on real data. Simply optimize flows that benefit both your balance sheet and our planet.
Drawing from real-world applications and customer experiences, we demonstrate how logistics can shift from being a background cost to a strategic lever for sustainable profitability - a hidden gem in the value chain.
